...a short series. Honestly, things we go through as voiceover artists.

I posted on Twitter about having to go and change my trousers as they were too noisy. And asked for other ways VO is quite a unique job.

• Noisy clothes. Honestly, this microphone picks up EVERYTHING.

• Stopping mid-sentence to get rid of a pigeon

• Drinking so much water in a bid to be perfectly hydrated for sessions that it feels like the only place you visit other than the booth is the lavatory.

• Noisy jewellery

• Dog snoring gets shushed more than I ever thought possible.

• Texting my spouse to "turn off the bathroom exhaust fan!" because I can hear it through my mic.

• Having to run to the shop for an emergency green apple

• A fly entering the workplace is simply armageddon.
